A story about a team of scientists and divers who sets out to explore a particularly deep underwater cave discovered in Romania, which accordind to the legends, in the Middle Ages was the scene of a battle was fought between the Templar Knights and winged demons (who of course lie dormant in the cave and just wait for some idiot to come and dare to disturb their peace). The team discovers signs that someone was on the scene before them - another team whose entire memebership was destroyed. Indeed, soon strange deaths begin to befall the crew members. Are the strange rodents that roam the area the deadly creatures that were considered winged demons by the Templars? And what is the role of the parasite found on some of the animal species – which, although does not burst out of their chests, does take over them in a different way, and will do everything to break free from the cave's surroundings, to reach the surface and threaten all of humanity, brrrr...
By the way, is it true that the plot sounds very familiar, especially in light of the recent discoveries about the underground lake discovered in Antarctica?

סיפור על צוות מדענים וצוללנים שיוצא לחקור מערה תת-ימית עמוקה במיוחד שהתגלתה ברומניה, והאגדות מספרות עליה שבימי הביניים התנהל בה קרב בין האבירים ממסדר הטמפלרים לבין שדים מכונפים (שכמובן שוכבים רדומים במערה ורק מחכים לאיזה אידיוט שיבוא ויעז להטריד את מנוחתם). הצוות מגלה סימנים לכך שמישהו היה במקום לפניהם - עוד צוות שכל אנשיו הושמדו. ואכן, עד מהרה מתחילות מיתות משונות לבוא על אנשי הצוות. האם המכרסמים המוזרים שמסתובבים בשטח הם היצורים הקטלניים שנחשבו לשדים מכונפים ע"י הטמפלרים? ומה תפקידו של הטפיל שנמצא על כמה ממיני בעלי החיים - שאמנם לא מתפרץ להם מתוך החזה, אבל משתלט עליהם בדרך אחרת, ויעשה הכול כדי להשתחרר מסביבת המערה, להגיע אל פני השטח ולאיים על האנושות כולה, ברררר...
אגב, נכון שהעלילה נשמעת מוכרת מאוד, בעיקר לאור הגילויים האחרונים על האגם התת-קרקעי שהתגלה באנטארקטיקה?
